Beheader, I hope that your opinion is more informed in 2012 when you are able to vote in the next presidential election. I'm not saying that someone supporting McCain is wrong, assuming they support him for valid reasons, but to say you're supporting him because the country needs "another retarded white guy" is just plain wrong.

What about where they stand on the issues, though. It isn't always about how they can speak. It should be about what they believe in.

for now im going to be voting for McCain, that could change. Im my opinion McCain is the only candidate with any real experience. Dont get me wrong Obama has a lot of great qualities and I like his stance on change, not taking money from interest groups (at least not publicly). But, is it all political rhetoric? I've learned that he has never actually authored bill in his whole political life. I for one am tired of the republican party and would really like change but, I think im still going to go with the candidate with the most experience.

they all promise change but they will probably not pull through and they could even fuck up the country trying.

Actually, McCain isn't promising change at all on any of the major issues. Iraq? Stay the course. Taxes? Keep the Bush tax cuts that benefit the wealthiest Americans the most. Energy policy? Drill off-shore for oil, cut funding to solar and other renewable energies. Education? Keep no child left a dime in its current state. Economy? He doesn't know what that means.

Also, Phigdizzle makes a valid point about Obama lacking in experience and that concerned me early on in the race, when I was an Edwards supporter (still am, but he's obviously not in it anymore), but Obama is very intelligent is surrounding himself with experienced and intelligent people, which in my opinion is important. Who he chooses as his vice presidential pick is his first truly important show of leadership and readiness to run the country, so I'm eager to see who it is. My guess would be it will be someone with military, foreign, and/or governing experience. I highly doubt that Hillary Clinton will end up as his running mate, though.

From a Canadian perspective, both people are bad choices. I'd say Obama 'bin' Barrack will be the lesser of the two evils in this case.

Mccain would just keep the world miserable with the republican mandate to seek and destroy muslim governments across the globe. The occupation of iraq would continue in the same fashion it has for the past 7 years. However, Mccain does support the oil industry, and that small fact is good news for Canadians, since we are the largest supplier of oil to america (just found that one out, and was astonished we sell more barrels then opec).

Obama may be better for foreign policy, and a fresh approach to the war in iraq, but his idea to change up trade in north america could cause some problems. I personally support the move away from oil, but on an economic point of view its going to hurt us up here.

Of the two, I definately see Obama as a much better speaker then McCain. Obama can speak on his own and read a script like he's written it himself. McCain is on a political leash, and possibly drugged to keep him from going off the hook like he did in the last race for republican leader. So Obama will offer less strings attached, and won't be the military puppet. McCain will make a select few families very rich if he wins, and probably drive your economy into the ground.

I wish you guys luck in this upcoming election. Its like picking the better of two rotten apples.

Very interesting video. I agree that we are just a small influence on the environment, and we've already seen the precursor to environment agenda's here in B.C.

We just went ahead with a 'Carbon' tax. This tax is added directly (3.5 cents/litre) to gas prices. It will go up to 7 cents by 2010. This same tax is exempt to big industries such as Al Can (produces aluminum) which is the largest producer of 'Carbon' gas in B.C. Other such industries which produce large amounts of carbon are also exempt. So the big government wins, and the people have lost yet again. Even more insulting is the fact that the 3.5 cents/litre, is then subject to our GST tax (5%). Taxes on Taxes should never occur, but this is happening and this video is bang on with my take on how the government directs our views to what is the next disaster we should all worry about. What happened to terrorism? I guess that just got old so lets all focus on climate change.

Perhaps a vote choice of No government should be included on ballots. Would be interesting to see how many would choose such an option during a time like this.

no government would mean probably either choas or communism which in the end will kill over half the population and make everyone broke. the richest man in america by then would only have 100$
