| Imagine gets Butchered Ok While you got the original imagine playing, I just wanted to point out some blatant bullshit on American Idol that no one seems to notice. Not a huge fan of the show, girlfriend loves it. I just delve into for my usual political jargon. On the opening of this song, it starts with Imagine no Heaven, Its easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky..... and so on. The next verse starts with Imagine theres no Country. Then the third gets to Imagine no possessions. So basically the meaning behind this song is for people to truly give up the differences and accept eachother. Don't be greedy for what others have, don't have division amongst us with religion and borders, and don't go to war. Yes it basically is saying religion is part of the problem, and back when the song came out there was controversy. But even today in (what we think is) a modern world shit like this will happen. Now the point of the post. David A. from American idol, one of the top 2 sings this song (for a second time exact same as his first time) and he cuts it down to the verse Imagine no possessions. The one and only verse that sounds like Jesus talk and is the one line in the song that I see as impossible. So basically why do they BLATANTLY censor anti religious and anti government talk on American Idol? Here is the crappiest version of Imagine that you'll hear. And the confirmation of them just cutting the song down to absolutely no meaning and feeling. Thats my rant for today. Fuckin american idol. ![]() ![]()

![]() Government has an agenda? They cut it? Of course they cut it. They never do full songs on the show. Bad choice of how to cut it though. They didn't cut it because it was the 2nd time we heard it either. It was the same as the first time he did it. No one cares? Ask any beattles fan and you'll see alot of people care when you take a great song, break it, and yet still have people cheer to it. Made me sick.
