The Dark Knight

To start, this isn't a detailed review or as polished as Jedi's reviews. This is more like my thoughts after watching the movie. I was surprised there wasn't already a Batman review that I could respond to so I made my own.

I've been waiting a long time to see this movie and I finally got the chance to watch it in imax last night. Batman is probably my favorite hero, and the Joker is no doubt my favorite villain. So this is my biased review.

First, Heath Ledger. When I first heard about him being the character I was a little skeptical. Let me tell you, throughout the movie I found myself wanting to see more and more of the Joker. No doubt, one of the most powerfully played characters I've ever seen. Hats off to Heath, he did an extraordinary job.

This movie was ridiculous! The action scenes are stunning and the story is incredible. I am truly at a loss for words. There are literally some jaw dropping action scenes that will make you whisper the words "holy shit" beneath your breath. The acting was incredible by the entire cast, very believable roles.

After the movie, I am puzzled with the thought of "how do they top this?" Go see it if you haven't already. For lack of a better word, this movie is amazing. My new favorite movie.

You will not be disappointed. This is easily the best Batman movie ever made, if not the best comic movie ever. I was in awe while watching it and the only word I could mutter when it was over was "awesome".

I saw this movie in the IMAX also. I thought that the action scenes were really good. Especially seeing the ones that were shot for IMAX. The only two things that I noticed right away that I didn't like were also Christian Bayles deep batman voice and the fact that the movie really seemed to slow down a little towards the end. Otherwise I thought it was a really awesome movie!

Bale's voice when he plays Batman bothered me in the first one. But I'm over it, and it no longer bothers me but I do find myself trying to fully understand everything he says. Sometimes it's too "throaty" and I can't understand everything. But I do know a few people who love it when he talks like that haha.

And I did the same thing as Phooey. When the credits ended all I could say was "That...was.... AWESOME!"

There were a couple times when I had thought the movie was coming to an end only to have another part of the story open up. I thought it might have slowed down but we did catch a late showing so I thought it may have just been because it was late and I had about 5 drinks before the movie.
